Hardware Recommendations
Disclaimer:  Do not buy a "home edition" of any operating system.  It does not network appropriately!  It will not run the EMR.   The EMR uses a back-end SQL Server database; the home edition does not connect with this SQL database.  We strongly recommend Windows 7 Pro.

Clinic Pro  Hardware Recommendations for practice management
Clinic Pro Chiropractic Software does not sell computer hardware. Quite frankly, some software companies force you to buy hardware from them so they can mark it up considerably.   We have a different philosophy. We want you to buy your computer equipment from a local store so that you can get quick and reliable service.
Windows - Clinic Pro is a 32 bit program. It will run on any machine that runs Windows 2003 Server, 2008 Server, XPPro, Windows 7 that has at least 2 gigabyte RAM.
We recommend 4 gig of RAM if you are buying new machines.

In a chiropractic office environment, the use of chiropractic software streamlines the functioning of the office. Chiropractic software should include an appointment scheduler that allows chiropractors to set up visit plans. It should include chiropractic procedure codes for x-rays and adjustments such as 98940 and 98941. It should include an integrated electronic medical record that allows chiropractors to record Medicare mechanism of trauma. Using an EMR to record documentation notes and physical exam findings streamlines the overall functioning of the chiropractic office.

To meet Medicare guidelines for mechanism of trauma, ClinicPro chiropractic software has developed an EMR template that elicits the mechanism of trauma information along with PART information meaning pain, asymmetry, range of motion and tissues/tone changes. This chiropractic specific documentation justifies the use of procedure codes 98940 and 98941. Medicare chiropractic guidelines require a mechanism of trauma to initiate care. ClinicPro chiropractic software provides a documentation necessary to pass a Medicare chiropractic audit.
